The LivingWorks team is headed to Piran, Slovenia for the 32nd annual International Association for Suicide Prevention World Congress.

The congress – which will be held at the Grand Hotel Bernardin – kicks off on Sept. 19, and wraps up on Sept. 23.

The LivingWorks team is delivering a number of workshops and presentations beginning with Workshop 3 – P4L on Tuesday titled “Youth interventions for suicide: Building evidence base and dissemination at scale. LivingWorks safeTalk for young people workshop and panel.”

On Thursday, LivingWorks Director Suicide Prevention, APAC, Marc Bryant, LivingWorks Regional Training Manager UK, Indra Herbert and LivingWorks EVP Development, Shayne Connell will be presenting Oral #21: Interventions in Suicide prevention – Adapting Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention Training for the LGBTIQ Population.

The following day, Friday Sept. 22, will feature LivingWorks EVP Innovation, Dr. Peter Gutierrez presenting Oral #32: Suicide prevention in the workplace – Increasing the Fidelity of Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training.

Friday will also feature Symposium #31 – First Responders: natural disasters, traumatic events to military conflict – keeping helpers safe from suicide. This will be presented by Bryant, along with Herbert, Gutierrez and Connell.

LivingWorks team members are excited to engage with and learn from our global peers in suicidology at such an incredible event.
